How is Dr. Williams is on the cutting edge of technology?
Dr Williams was one of a select few designated to pilot the new 3D bracket system made by one of the largest orthodontic companies worldwide.
When it comes to your smile, how do you choose someone with the most experience to give you a beautiful, broad smile?
Dr. Williams had the privilege of being personally trained by the past president of the American Board of Orthodontics. He excelled in his orthodontic studies and was asked to assist in teaching orthodontics while attending his orthodontic residency at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Troy Williams and Dr. Auger have over 20 years of experience individually and combined over 50 years of experience, beside this, they are both Board Certified, which makes them part of an elite group of only 1200 orthodontists nationwide and that certification is also recognized worldwide. Our higher standard has not gone unnoticed, with the government awarding our staff here at Braces R Us Orthodontics with the Physician of the Year Award and the President’s National Leadership Award. Our experience, coupled with these qualifications, allows us to provide the best care at the most accommodating prices specifically and individually tailored to you.
At what age is the best time to see an orthodontist for a smile evaluation?
The American Association of Orthodontics recommends all children have an orthodontic evaluation before age seven. Being seen by age seven can help prevent and catch major medical and dental problems that may occur if not treated early enough. If not seen, this can lead to surgeries costing more than five times the expense of braces. You are never too old for orthodontic treatment. Straight teeth and a good bite can help prevent gum problems and premature wearing of your teeth. It can also help avoid costly and painful Temporomandibular joint problems, commonly known as TMD. Your initial consultation and exam, including your X-ray, are always complementary here in our office.
I have a wedding, graduation, or special occasion in 6-12 months, and I would like to get through treatment in a rush. Is that possible?
Yes, here at Braces R Us Orthodontics, we offer the V-Pro 5. This unique auxiliary device is used in just 5 minutes a day to help curate and move the teeth twice as fast. The V-Pro 5 will help reduce treatment time and allow patients to be in and out of braces or Invisalign in half the time. The V-Pro 5 has shown to reduce discomfort up to 50%, which can drastically help patients who have a lower pain tolerance. Ask a front desk team member at Braces R Us Orthodontics today to see if you qualify for the V-Pro 5.
Why do we at Braces R Us orthodontics do what we do?
We live and breathe orthodontics, no we really do. We love it so much, it has been commented saying that we won’t retire because we love working with our patients, our team YES WE LOVE WORKING TOGETHER, and we just love what we do. Braces, ARE, Us. Our Team’s greatest joy is the day treatment is done to see the confidence in the broad, beautiful smile and how their smile impacts their life for the better. Now, our Team are a bit of what some would say, a perfectionist. But ask yourself, isn’t that what you want out of your smile, perfection?

What is orthodontics?

Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. Braces are appliances or devices used to make these corrections.

Is orthodontic treatment necessary?
No. However, they help slow down the aging process by positioning the teeth and jaws in the correct place. This in turn postpones premature wear of the teeth, the periodontium (or gums), and the temporomandibular joint (or jaw joint).
When should I look for the warning signs of a bad bite?
It is most important to examine your child’s teeth as the permanent teeth grow in. Although children mature at different rates, the American Association of Orthodontics recommends every child be seen by an orthodontist by age seven as this is one of the many things an orthodontist looks for at an early age.

Retainers -Eating
Take the retainer out of your mouth and place it in the case that is provided to you. DO NOT eat with the retainer in your mouth. DO NOT wrap the retainer in a napkin and place it on your lunch tray – it WILL be thrown away in the garbage. Do not leave the retainer lying on the lunch tray, table, etc…it will be forgotten and thrown away.

If you lose your retainer; call to make an appointment A.S.A.P. We may need to take a new impression at the appointment. The charge for replacing a lost or broken retainer depends on the type of retainer.

Lost Retainer?
If you lose your retainer; call to make an appointment A.S.A.P., as some peoples’ teeth go crooked in a few days. We may need to take a new impression at the appointment. The charge for replacing a lost or broken retainer depends on the type of retainer.
Broken Retainer
If your retainer is broken, please bring the pieces with you to your appointment. You may be able to receive a discount of 50% on a new retainer. A new impression may be needed to make each new retainer. If you participate in the Retainers for Life program, bring in the models. If your model isn’t broken, you haven’t had a crown placed since removing your braces, and you have been wearing your retainers consistently as prescribed, we can make a new retainer off the model for a nominal fee.
Retainer DON'Ts
– Do not put the retainer in a pant or shirt pocket where it can be easily lost or broken. If you do not have your case with you, hold the retainer in your hand until you have finished eating, then place it back in your mouth.

– Do not leave the retainer lying around the house, especially if you have house pets. Dogs and cats can smell the retainer and they think it is food. This can happen even if the retainer is in the case; so, if you have inside pets, put the retainer in the case and place the case in a drawer. If the retainer has gotten dirty, soak in Listerine, rinse it with water, and place it back in your mouth.

– DO NOT boil the retainer. It will lose its shape and it will no longer fit. On special occasions, you are allowed to remove the retainer for short periods of time. However, do not leave it out for too long because your teeth will shift.
